I graduated from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC with my Master’s in 2017. My education focused on the Classical roots of Chinese medicine, challenging me to develop a practice that investigates the deeper aspects of disease and one that embodies compassionate healing presence. I use these perspectives in developing adaptable treatment strategies to meet old diseases with new names.
I consider health to be a dynamic process of connection and communication, rather than a sentence or a destination. The use of acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, tui na massage, daoyin movement as well as dietary therapy are all designed to adjust the biophysical process when we are unwell. I aim to empower individuals and to show them how health is of the highest of investments.
I relocated to Washington DC in December 2017 to practice in both private and community settings, and now tend to the diverse needs of the DMV population. I have experience treating a wide-range of disorders, and have a particular interest in pain management and stress reduction, digestive and sleep issues, as well as psycho-emotional concerns. In my spare time I enjoy writing, drawing, hiking, drinking coffee, and discussing medicine and astrology with friends and kindred strangers.
